Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 Aug 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
While accessing or using RapidTunnel's services, you agree to and are bound by our Terms of Service set forth. If you do not agree to these terms for any reason, do not use this service.
2. Description of Service
RapidTunnel offers a platform and service for users to run their own encrypted virtual private network (VPN) service using WireGuard which routes the users internet traffic through what we refer to as Secure Tunnels. Accounts are created and authenticated with a 12-word mnemonic passphrase (BIP39) which is generated locally on the users device and is never transmitted or stored on our platform; Email or other personal details are not required to create an account, thus no such data is stored in our databases.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use RapidTunnel for any unlawful purpose, as set forth by the laws in your country of residence. This includes but is not limited to:
- Distributing malware, ransomware or any other software with the purpose of harm and/or malicious intent towards another individual / organization.
- Unauthorized access to systems or networks.
- Engaging or aiding in any form of fraud or theft, whether digital or physical.
- Sending unsolicited bulk communications for marketing purposes and/or distributing other forms of spam content.
- Infringing the intellectual property rights of others (downloading/distributing copyrighted content).
- Downloading and/or distributing digital content deemed illegal in your country of residence.
- Engaging in or promoting any acts of terrorism, both foreign and domestic.
- Tampering with or attempting to access RapidTunnel infrastructure.
- Any action deemed illegal by government laws in your country of residence.
We reserve the right to suspend and terminate accounts/tunnels indefinitely without refund should there be sufficient evidence of engaging in activities that go against our acceptable use policy while using any of our services. This also applies if a complaint or warrant is filed by an official governing organization with reasonable evidence of such actions deriving from your tunnel(s). As we do not require user email addresses or any other contact information to use our services, you will be notified in-app should such an event occur.
4. Privacy & No-Logs Policy
We do not log any browsing activity, traffic destination, DNS queries, or origin IP addresses - Our platform architecture does not persist data (container-based images), which is a technical limitation. Minimal data used for tunnel infrastructure is transmitted (active session count, aggregate bandwidth, resource usage) only as required to operate the service. For security purposes, we do not expose SSH access, store server passwords, or expose any other form of remote access to tunnels aside from a local API which is used for basic management of the tunnel (restart, shutdown, provision). While our hosting providers offer a "recovery mode" which in theory can provide access to individual tunnels, use of recovery mode requires rebooting the tunnel which would reset all data and require the tunnel to be re-provisioned with the users base config data before continuing use of service.
We employ a "save only when required" policy when it comes to data storage. In other words, we only store data when explicitly required to operate the platform rather than saving everything initially and purging unnecessary data. In today's day in age where personal data has become a commodity, we believe that less is more - especially with privacy tools such as VPN services. Data which does not exist cannot be sold or stolen for any reason.
5. Subscriptions, Vouchers & Refunds
Service time is added individually to tunnels through in-app subscriptions in the App Store or prepaid vouchers which can be purchased using cryptocurrency directly on our website. In-app subscriptions are set to renew every month and may be cancelled by the user at any time in Apple account subscription settings. Payments for in-app subscriptions are processed by Apple, any inquiries regarding in-app subscription payments should be deferred to Apple support. Each Apple account can have up to 20 subscriptions total, across any number of RapidTunnel accounts. This is a technical limitation due to in-app subscriptions requiring established slots for App Store accounts.
Voucher redemptions are final once applied to a tunnel and are non-transferable and non-refundable except where required by law. Unused service days carry no cash value. We reserve the right to terminate subscriptions deemed to be purchased through fraudulent means. Vouchers do not expire unless expressly stated prior to purchase.
6. Service Availability
We aim for continuous availability and service uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service as tunnels are individually operated by users. Available tunnel locations may change or become unavailable, and maintenance windows may temporarily affect connectivity. Days of service continue to elapse during outages shorter than 24 hours, with credits only being provided if an outage is system-wide.
7. Account Security
Your 12-word passphrase is the only credential for your account. We cannot recover it if lost and it cannot be changed. You are responsible for keeping it secure; It's important to understand that anyone in possession of your passphrase has full control of the account and any tunnels under it. KEEP YOUR PASSPHRASE SECRET.
Accounts are created by generating a private key locally using hardware cryptography built into your device (Apple Secure Enclave). Your device must have an operable Secure Enclave SoC to create a RapidTunnel account. This includes all iPhones starting from iPhone 5s and Apple devices with a T1 chip or higher. Additionally, users can further increase entropy with static data captured through the devices camera. Use of this optional key hardening feature requires one-time access to your devices camera. A 12-word mnemonic (BIP39) is derived from the generated key, which allows users to log in using 12 generated words instead of typing a long string of random characters. Neither the private key or 12-word phrase is ever transmitted to RapidTunnel. A matching public key is generated during account creation, which we use to authenticate users using a cryptographic signature and can only be fulfilled by the private key holder.
Should you suspect your account or key be compromised for any reason, we highly recommend you stop using the account and creating a new one with a fresh key.
8. Limitation of Liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RapidTunnel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service or cancel your subscription at any time. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend tunnels for material breach of our terms and conditions. Upon termination, any remaining service days linked to affected tunnels shall be forfeited, should termination result from your breach of our terms set forth.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be announced in the app.
